Robert E. Dunham, Jr., 74, of Warren passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his residence..
Bob was born November 5, 1939, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth Cogswell Dunham, Sr. Bob was a graduate of Warren High School. Employed with Interelectric Corp. for over 25 years utilizing his natural talent with technologies as an IT Manager . He was a member of the Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church and active with Bible Study Group.
Bob was very involved in every aspect of the performing arts in many locations. He was a member of the Theatre Union since 1978, and very instrumental at the Chautauqua Institution, the Palace Theatre in Jamestown, NY., and later at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. In Warren, he was an integral part of the Struther's Library Theatre, and was the recipient of the 4th Prestigious Peacock Award for decades of dedication, time and talent with the theatre. He continued to serve on the facilities committee following his retirement.
He is survived by two daughters, Myla Coleson of Sugar Grove, PA, Marcia Dunham of Warren, PA; and one son, Robert E. Dunham III and wife Tamara of Baltimore, MD; a step daughter, Michelle Curtis of Warren, PA. Sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Dunham Miller in October 2005 and a sister Cynthia Cogswell Bigelow.
A memorial service will be held the Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church on Tuesday, August 26, at 1:00 pm, with The Rev. Matthew Scott, officiating. Friends will be received from 12 noon until time of service. A light luncheon will follow in the church parlors.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Struthers Library Theatre, 302 W. Third Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
