May 21, 1935 – November 19, 2002
Mr. Baker was born May 21, 1935, in Marienville, PA., the son of the Thelma
D. (Nichols) Baker of Warren Manor, and the late John L. Baker.
Mr. Baker graduated from East Hikory High School in 1953.
He was employed as a foreman at GTE Sylvania for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Blueberry Hill Golf Club., B. P. O. Elks Lodge #223,
Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Lakewood, N.Y., Loyal
Order of Moose Lodge #109, North Star Lodge #241.
He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Rose M. ( Macaluso )
Baker, whom he married on February 5, 1983 in Warren ; one son: Rodney L.
Baker of Warren, PA; one daughter: Mrs. Edward ( Kimberly ) Haupt of Summit
Twp, Erie, PA.; one sister: Marilyn Ferris of Clarendon, PA; three
grandchildren and three nephews.
Friends may call at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave.,
E., Warren, PA on Wednesday November 20, 2002, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., where a
funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 11:00 am with
Rev. Jim Phillips, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Members
of the Elks Lodge #223 will conduct a memorial ritual at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday.
Burial will be in the Barnes Cemetery, Sheffield.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hillman Cancer Center - Renal Cell
