Robert E. Bailey, 77, of Stoneham, died Friday, September 15, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital of Erie, PA. Bob was born August 19, 1940, in Sayre, PA. He was the son of the late Richard D. and Helen B. (Shafer) Bailey.
Bob was a 1957 graduate of Warren High School. He served in the US Army National Guard during the Korean conflict. He was a maintenance electrician by trade, and had worked at Sylvania and Corry Plastics. Bob was a member of the Clarendon VFW, where he formerly served as post commander.
He is survived by four children, Michele Bailey, of Clarendon, Susan Brooks, and husband, Larry, of Bear Lake, Jim Bailey, of Stoneham, and Eric Bailey, and wife, Tammy, of Latrobe; one step-daughter, Tina Spontaneo, and boyfriend, Kim; ten siblings, Carol Dibble, and husband, Donald, of East Smithfield, PA, Margaret Fowler, of Monroton, PA, Richard D. Bailey, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Sayre, PA, Diane Elvidge, and husband, Jim, of Uster, PA, Irvine Bailey, and wife, Cheryl, of Clarendon, PA, G. Thomas Bailey, and wife, Darla, of Port Allegheny, PA, John Bailey, and wife, Debbie, of Clarendon, PA, and Susan Carlton, and husband, Jim, of Harrison, AR, Joyce Walter, and husband, Tim, of FL, and Raymond Bailey, and wife, Debbie, of Warren; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by wife, Beatrice Dunham Bailey; brother, Ivan J. Bailey; sister, Donna Bailey; son, Ricky Bailey; and grandchildren, Kevin, Scott, Zachary, and Jennifer Bailey.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Wednesday, September 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. Following the viewing, family and friends will gather for a memorial service at the Clarendon Vets Club, 22 Brown Avenue, Clarendon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots.
