Richard A. Sorensen, 61, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, after a lengthy illness, at Warren Manor. Rick was born September 17, 1957 to Leroy and Margaret (Hennessy) Sorensen. He graduated from W.A.H.S. in 1975 and owned his own business Sorensen's Collision, in Warren. He then moved to South Carolina, where he lived for 22 years. While living there, he picked up some wonderful hobbies. These included, surfing at Myrtle beach, skateboarding, golfing, and riding his motorcycle. Rick was very talented when it came art. He enjoyed drawing and painting, both on paper and cars. He eventually moved back to Warren. He worked for Blair Distribution Center and then Koebley Collision until he became ill. When he came back to Warren, he strengthened his relationships with his family. He loved to spend time at his camp in Scandia and spent a lot of time with this granddaughter. Rick had an admirable will to live. His determination kept him going and he fought until the end. He will be missed and loved always by those who knew him. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his daughter, Karly Sue Sorensen; his siblings, Kathryn Owen (Robert), and Donald Sorensen (Tami); his grandchild, Malysia; his nieces and nephews, Katie, Chris, and Lisa Owen, and David and Darren Sorensen; and several others. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Rosella Sorensen and Joseph and Erna Hennessy. In leui of flowers the family has asked donations be made to Warren Manor, 682 Pleasant Dr, Warren, PA 16365 and Hospice of Warren County, 2 W Crescent Park, Warren, PA 16365. Friends will be received from 2-3 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA 16365, with a memorial service to follow, the Rev. Jeff Ewing, pastor, officiating.
