Richard L. White, 77, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Warren Manor. Richard was born on April 10, 1942, in Clarendon, to the late Homer and Violet (Johnson) White. Richard was a 1960 graduate of Warren High School and was employed with Valeo Engine Cooling, from which he retired. He was also formerly employed with Struthers Wells Corp, and worked as a Police Officer with the Borough of Warren Police Dept. He enjoyed sports and umpired for many years. He also refereed for basketball. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan, but most of all he loved his family. They meant the world to him and they will all miss him dearly. Richard is survived by his children, Wendy White-New of Nathalie, VA, Brian (Michelle) White, of Clarksville, VA, Kevin Walter, of Warren, Monica Walter, of Virginia Beach, Dale (Jennifer) Bliss, of Warren, Michael Bliss, of Erie, and Joanna (Troy) Hyman, of Warren; eight grandchildren, Brian White Jr., Heather White, Emily Hildreth, Kurtis Walter, Kennedy Walter, Rianna Grissom, Summer Walter, and Devin Stover; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen (Sidon) White; brother, Jack White; and his grandchild, Michael Jon Bliss Jr. Friends will be received 3-5pm on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365 and from 10-11 am on Monday, September 16, 2019. A funeral service will follow at 11 am, Rev. Bill Beatty, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Warren Manor Patient Activities Fund, 682 Pleasant Dr, Warren, PA 16365.
