Richard Keith Sampson, 83, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2019 at Warren General Hospital. Rich was born August 7. 1935, in Warren, PA to the late Raynold and Florence Schafer. He was a lifelong area resident and was a welder for Struthers Wells Company for many years. He was a member of the Pine Grove Sportsmen's Club and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on vehicles and building race cars. He enjoyed taking his grandson to Stateline and was a NASCAR, Steelers and Pirates fan. Rich is survived by his wife, Martha Furlow Sampson, whom he married on June 28, 1975; a son Scott Sampson ( Sherry) of Warren, PA. a stepson Nicholas Johnson also of Warren; a half sister Sandy Wachter ( Mike ) Warren, PA; 4 grandchildren Matt, Valarie, Seth and Amanda; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Kirik, and a son Richie Sampson. In accordance to his wish's no services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511. They also request No Food donations.
