Richard L. Peterson, 91, of Clarendon, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 21, 2017.  Richard was born August 30, 1926, in Warren, PA. He was the son of the late Elmer P. and Ingeborg Simonsen Peterson.

Richard was a 1945 graduate of Warren High School.  For forty-three years, Richard worked at the United Refining Company, retiring in 1988 as an Operations Supervisor.  He was a member of the Clarendon Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary L. Blair Peterson; seven children--Linda (Milton), of Warren; Suzanne (George), of Derry, NH; Jon (Cathy), of Clarendon; Pete (Annie) of Moravian, NC; Mary Ann (Roni), of Mt. Joy; Rebecca (Ric), of Miami, FL; and Robert (Jim), of New York, NY; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews--Jessica and Dave Anundson, Stacey Robertson, Gary and Malou Jordan, and Laurie Jordan.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Mark A. Peterson; and sister, Verna Jordan.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
