Richard E. Confer, 89, of Warren, passed away on May 5, 2021, at the Warren General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Barnes, PA, to the late William and Orpha Bradybaugh Confer on September 4, 1931. He was an operator/ supervisor at Segel & Son from which he retired. Following retirement, he worked part time at Country Fair. He attended The Grace United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, bike riding, fishing, camping, and traveling. He especially enjoyed his family. Richard is survived by his children, Brenda (Timothy) Steinman of Warren, PA., Richard (Stacy) Confer of Warren, PA., Zack (Debi) Hoenes of Russell, PA; a sister; Helen Hadley of North Warren, PA, eight grandchildren; four Great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary M. Crowell Confer, his second wife, Darleen M. Bauer Confer, and his fiance' Diana L. Smith; two brothers, Russell and Alva Confer; two sisters, Opal Bullock and Charlotte Confer. Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E. Warren, PA, from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday May 8, 2021, at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Bill Beaty, Pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
