Raymond "Zeke" Paul Stanton, 88, of Russell, PA, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at his residence. Zeke was born April 8, 1937, at the family homestead in Putnamville, PA, the son of the late Paul and Marie (Annis) Stanton. He was a 1955 graduate of Sugar Grove Farmington High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1962, receiving the rank of ADJ2. Zeke worked at GTE Sylvania as a Moldmaker from which he retired in 1992 after 30 years. Zeke enjoyed hunting, cooking breakfast during deer season, trapping, traveling with his wife to 49 states, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Zeke is survived by his children, Roberta (Bobbie) Stanton of Scandia, and Michael Stanton and wife Jennifer of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Stephanie Ferrie and husband Jon, Jon McMillen, Charles Stanton and significant other, Shy Matsock, Gabe Stanton and wife Shannon, and Jake Stanton and wife Breanna; great grandchildren, Haley, Madelyn, Loren Ferrie, Landen Stanton, Deborah (DJ) Stanton, Lucy Stanton, Audrey Stanton, and Charlotte Stanton; and brother-in-law, Charles (Pete) Swanson. In addition to his parents, Zeke was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Swanson Stanton, whom he married on December 22, 1961; sisters, Shirley Hitchcock and Beverly Church; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Stanford. Friends will be received at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Celebration of Life service will be held there at 11:00am with Reverend Bill Beatty, pastor, and Reverend Kevin Haley, co-officiating. Luncheon to follow. Burial to follow at Thompson Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA, or to Thompson Hill Cemetery, 937 Thompson Hill Rd., Russell, PA.
