Raymond R. Peterson, 91, of 112 Walnut Street, Warren, PA, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.

Raymond was born November 21, 1923, in Kinzua, PA.  He was the son of the late Emanuel and Lucille (Bianco) Peterson.

He served in an Armored Division in North Africa and Italy in World War II.  He was employed for thirty eight years with Pennsylvania Electric Company.  After retirement, he managed the Warren Moose Lodge #109 for sixteen years.  Raymond was a life member of Moose Lodge #109, Clarendon Vets #314 and Struthers Hose.  He was also a member of American Legion Post #135 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #313.

Raymond is survived by two sons, Lance A. Peterson, and wife, Faith, of Warren, PA, and Manley C. Peterson, and wife, Cristina, of Tampico, Mexico; a sister, Ruth Bennett, of Sheffield, PA; two grandsons, Adam and Evan Peterson, both of Warren, PA; his companion of 30 years, Betty Lou Smith, of Warren, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Phyllis M. Grant Peterson in 1977; his daughter, Tami Rae Zimmerman in 2002; four sisters, Ida Dunlap, Viola Plyler, Doris Jenkins, and Rena Hammond; and two brothers, Carl D. Peterson and Edward Peterson.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Tuesday, November 25, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday, November 26, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Suppa, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at the Westview Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice.
