Raymond Dennis Mitchell, 44, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at his residence.

Raymond was born September 1, 1982, in Warren, the son of Dennis Mitchell and Cheryl (Jim Singleton) Lambert, who survives. He graduated from Franklin High School and was employed at Whirley-Drinkworks.

Raymond served in the Army National Guard and was stationed in Afghanistan for active duty. He was a true hero to his friends, family, and country. He loved cooking for friends and enjoyed playing chess, board games, and video games. He also enjoyed listening to Weird Al and other quirky artists like him. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his twin brother, Bob.

In addition to his parents, Raymond is survived by his son, Raygan Mitchell; twin brother, Bob (Brooke) Mitchell; brothers, Paul (Emily) Mitchell and Ethan (Taylor) Mitchell; sister Hannah (Brandon) Wagner; brother, Dustin Probst; nieces, Amarah Probst and Lillian Mitchell; nephews, Hudson and Elliott Mitchell, and Sawyer Probst; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Raymond was preceded in death by his maternal and fraternal grandparents.
