Ray L. Straight, 61, of Warren passed away on May 23, 2026. Ray was born on December 19, 1964, to David and Mary Ellen Staight in Warren. Ray graduated high school in 1982 from Warren Area High School. Ray joined the Army, where he served three years as a Helicopter Mechanic and toured Europe. Upon his return home, Ray worked at United Refinery as a welder and multi-purpose laborer.

Ray married the love of his life, Laurie “Gina” Straight, in 2009. She survives at home.

Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his service dog, Pocahontas, and cherished every minute with them. He was an avid gun collector who often shot his pistols and guns with family. Ray also loved to trap shoot until he could not anymore. Ray used his 3D printer often and with great skill. He redid his house so that there would be no issues with it for Gina.

Ray is survived by his parents, his wife, his brothers; Brad (Kimberly) Straight and Kenneth “Ken” (Mandy) Straight, his children; Chelsea and Mitchell Straight, his grandchildren, his nephews; Andrew and Daniel Straight, and his nieces; Sarah and Ellen Straight. Ray is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ray is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. There will be celebration of life held at the family’s convenience.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or charity of choice in Ray’s memory.
