Randy S. Hert, 57, of Scandia, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Shadyside Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. Randy was born on December 1, 1962, in Hialeah, FL, to the late Charles E. Hert and Nedra (Mathis) Hert, who survives. He was a 1981 graduate of Amherst High School, in Virginia. Randy worked at United Refining as a Utility Repairman for 31 years, returning after a serious injury. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Randy enjoyed his home, fishing on Lake Erie, and going to the Casino. He adored his nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Chipper. In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his siblings, Doug (Karen) Hert, of Scandia, PA and Terri (David) Ludwig, of Warren, PA; his nieces and nephews, Amber, Ashley, Cody, Bradley, and Marcus; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends will be received from 3-5PM, on Monday, June 15, 2020, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, a funeral service to follow at 5PM, with Rev. James Swanson, pastor of Pleasant Community Church, officiating. Following the funeral service, everyone is invited to Doug and Karen's house on 82 Coalbed Road, in Scandia. A private burial will be held at Scandia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that memorial donations be made to the American Burn Association, 311 S.
