Rachel B. Cole, 97, a resident of Warren since 1941, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Heritage Green Rehab, in Greenhurst, NY.  Rachel was born May 30, 1920, in Clarington, PA. She was the daughter of the late Reason and Lula (Ishman) Beers.

Rachel was employed at Browns Boot Shop, of Warren, retiring in 1985 after 23 years.  She also volunteered at the Warren General Hospital and worked with Meals on Wheels Program of Warren.  She attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Shelters, and husband, Bruce, of Jamestown, NY, and one son, James Cole, of Homosassa, FL; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Volney P. Cole, on July 25, 1974; one brother, Willis Beers; three sisters, Velma McMillen, Almeda Nicklas, and Donna Rossey; and one niece, Alice Campman.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Saturday, January 27, from 2 to 5 p.m.  The funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
