Phyllisjean Christensen, 91, a lifelong area resident of Russell, PA, passed away on April 9, 2022, at her residence. Phyllisjean was born on June 10, 1930, in Kane, PA, the daughter of the late Myron Nicholson and Hazel Toby Nicholson. She was a 1948 graduate of Russell. She was a Nurse's Aide for 20 years at the Warren Nursing Home on Central Ave. Phyllisjean was a 70-year member of the Gouldtown Community Church in Russell, PA, where she was active in the choir. Phyllisjean especially loved horses and had her own saddlehorses for 53 years. Phyllisjean is survived by her three children Shirley Jean Waterman and husband Dwight of Warren, PA, Sheila Mae Jones of Russell, PA, and Theadore Lee Christensen and wife Wilma Elaine of North Warren, PA; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Phyllisjean is preceded in death by her husband, John Ivan Christensen; daughter Sherry Ann Anderson; sisters Francis Kalfas and Cathering Barhite. A memorial service will be held at Gouldtown Community Church on April 30, 2022, at 1pm with James Worthington, officiating.
