IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Malloy
June 6, 1930 – September 12, 2024
Philomena E. Russo Malloy, 94, longtime resident of Sheffield, PA, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. Phil was born June 6, 1930, in Rankin, located near Pittsburgh She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella Nuzzo Russo. She was a 1948 graduate of Rankin High School. She was employed at New Process Company for 18 1/2 years from which she retired in 1982. Phil was active in the Omega Sunday school class of the Barnes United Methodist Church. She was President, Secretary and Chaplain of the Sheffield VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Phil, reluctantly, relocated to Barnes in 1968, when Walt was transferred to the newly constructed Kinzua Dam. It was difficult to leave her family/friends, but soon fell in love with Warren County. Phil loved cooking for family and enjoyed seeing everyone sitting around the table with a plate of spaghetti and homemade sauce. She was the hostess for many family events: large family reunions, retirement parties, and any other reason to bring our family and friends together. Phil and Walt spent many happy years in Barnes. Following the sale of her Barnes home, Phil was blessed to live with her local children for five years. In 2022, Phil moved to the Rouse Home. The Family would like to thank the Rouse Home Staff for their excellent skilled care. Phil will be greatly remembered for her kindness to all, her smile that we loved to see, and her love for family. In addition to her parents, Phil was preceded in death on March 25, 2015, to her husband, Walter E. Malloy, whom she married on October 22, 1955; and sisters, Ann Chulick and Mary Banovski; and brother, Ralph Russo.
