Paul Hancock Farrell, 85, formerly of Warren, PA and Winter Haven, FL, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, at Glenwood Healthcare of Glenwood, GA.  Paul was born April 29, 1929, in Erie, PA, the son of the late John and Myrtle Evelyn Hancock Farrell.


Paul proudly served in the US Air Force as an automotive equipment mechanic from 1946 to 1949 in Okinawa, Japan.  He later moved to Warren County and was the owner/operator of the service station in Weldbank. He was also employed by Growers Fertilizer in Winter Haven.

He is survived by his son, John Farrell, and wife, Dawn, Glenwood, GA; one brother, Charles Farrell, Mesa, AZ; five grandchildren, Raylynn Farrell, Glenwood, GA, Jeremy Farrell, Lake Alfred, FL, Jennifer Farrell, Winter Haven, FL, Rachael Sellers, Charleston, SC and Derek Ezell, Auburndale, FL; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Donna Mae DeGolyer Farrell; and two brothers, John Farrell and Jim Farrell.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Pennsylvania Avenue, East, Warren, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial with full military honors will be at Warren County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or a charity of your choice.
