Duliba
June 2, 1921 – April 1, 2013
Paul Duliba, 91, beloved father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2013. He was born June 2, 1921, in Albion, PA, to the late Peter and Mary Soroka Duliba. He resided in Warren since 1941, employed as an electrical engineer in the crankshaft division at the former National Forge Company for over 45 years. Paul received two U.S. patents in relation to his work at the Forge. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy Seabees at Pearl Harbor.
Paul married the late Shirley Streich Duliba on July 20, 1954. Paul is survived by his son, Edward Duliba, Ph.D., of Ada, Ohio, and his daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Tim Reinke, of Erie. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Mackenzie and Nathaniel Buehler, and Alana Reinke, all of Erie. He was preceded in death by his sisters Catherine Christoff of Detroit, Mary Kielczewski of Erie, Ann Silfies of Albion, and his brother Andrew Duliba of Albion.
Paul was extremely active in the community. He was a member of Stoneham United Methodist Church where he enjoyed doing maintenance work. He was a Past Master of Northstar Lodge No. 241 and received the Grand Master's Award in 1984 for outstanding services to Freemasonry. He belonged to Warren Commandery No. 63, serving as Division Commander from 1978-1981. In addition he belonged to many other Masonic organizations. Paul was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Warren, receiving their Kiwanian of the Year Award in 2002. He was a former member of the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department and the Circle8 Square Dance Club.
He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and talented man with a warm smile, always ready to help his family, and extremely dedicated to his work.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc 1003 Pennsylvania Avenue, East, Warren, on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., with Northstar Lodge conducting their ceremony at 5:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Seth McClymonds, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, where full military honors will be provided by members of the Sheffield and Clarendon VFW.
