Patrick D.J. "Pete" Wightman, Sr., 50, of Warren, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA.

Pete was born January 6, 1964, in Greensburg, PA. He is the son of the late William Patrick Wightman and Meredith Thorpe Pizer.  He was employed as a Butcher for over 10 years with Thorne's Bi-Lo, Warren, PA, retiring due to an injury. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially family.

Pete is survived by his wife Wendy J.(Proctor) Wightman, Warren, whom he married on May 15, 1992; his children, Julie Wightman, Greensburg, PA, Katlyn Wightman, and her husband Catlin Strickenberger of Clarion, PA, Allison Wightman, Patrick Wightman, Jr., and DaleAnna Wightman, all of Warren, PA; two sisters, Bonnie Andersen and companion Scott Andersen, Warren, PA, Terry Wightman, Warren, PA, two brothers, Joseph Wightman and his wife Marilyn of Latrobe, PA and Robert Wightman of CA; four granddaughters, Zaida Wightman, Kaylinn Wightman, Emma Wightman and Bailey Strickenberger; four step-sisters, Rose Smith and husband Beaver of Corry, PA, Sandy Dowling and husband Shane of Arkansas, Marsha Taylor and husband Dave of Pittsfield, PA, and Suzanne Pizer of Meadville, PA; step-brother, Billy Pizer and wife Angie of Columbus, PA; a sister-in-law, Tracy Proctor of Youngwood, PA; three brothers-in-law, Dale Proctor and wife Melanie of WV, Michael Proctor and wife Debbie of New Stanton, PA and Ray Proctor and companion Misty of Ruffsdale, PA; step-father William Pizer of Warren; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Kable and companion Bob Ansell of Mt. Pleasant, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Pleasant Community Church, 673 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA, 16365. Rev. Michael Poindexter, pastor, officiating.
