Opal Jane Dodge Kosinski, 92, of Clarendon, PA, died peacefully, after an extended illness on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. Opal was born March 31, 1925, in Marienville, PA, to the late Horton McClellan and Bertha Agnes (Payne) Dodge.
She was employed at GTE Sylvania for many years, from which she retired in 1985.
Opal is survived by one sister—Nellie Pancake, of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters—Sandra Trumbull, and husband, Terry, of Warren, PA, and Susan Kosinski, also of Warren, PA; two grandchildren—Jennifer Christy, and husband, Mark, of Warren, PA, and Jeffrey Trumbull, and wife, Karen, of Painesville, OH; and four great-grandchildren—Rebecca "Becca" Trumbull and Ethan Trumbull, of Painesville, OH, Dominic Caprino and Rachel Christy, both of Warren, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on January 15, 1984, by her husband of 37 years, Charles "Chuck" Glenn Kosinski, whom she married April 17, 1946, in Marienville, PA; two sisters—Mary Margaret Young and Reba Elizabeth Grady; a brother—Leo Horton Dodge, along with their spouses.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Rouse Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
