Obituary

Norman "Gene" Williams, 51, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2013 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Williams died due to sclerosis of the liver and renal failure as a result of certain factors.
Gene was born on June 16, 1962 in Augusta, Georgia to the late James Williams and Beatrice Womack. Gene lived in Warren, PA for 12 years and did a variety of jobs including owning his own painting business Williams Painting; he worked at Warren McDonald's (2008-2011); and also he worked at South Street Elementary School as a crossing guard (2003-2006).
Gene was a very loving dad, a great cook, a helpful friend, and a very hard worker. Gene not only had two of his own biological children but twin daughters whom he helped raised since the age of 5 years old and also an adopted daughter, which he absolutely adored! He was always showing love by bringing home things such as candy, cakes, stuffed animals, food; pretty much anything you could think of. He would always go above and beyond and out of his way to help other people. He was a very committed person and enjoyed bringing smiles to everyone faces with his jokes. A lot of people might remember Gen e for his cooking, because at cook-outs or get together he would always be standing at the grill cooking up delicious food. Among other things he enjoyed doing was fishing, being around his family, watching movies, and growing tomatoes.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother (Beatrice Womack), Father (James Williams), his brothers, (June Williams, Brady Williams, Willie Williams), and his sister, (Alice Freeman). He is survived by his wife (Michele Williams), brothers (Warren and Johnny Williams), his daughters (Alyssa Williams, Shella Williams (maiden name), Ashley Moore, Crystal Moore, and Isabella Williams), grandchildren (Annistan Welsh, Jakeria and Janeria Williams), and along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Gene will be greatly missed and loved by many. We should all remember though that he is in a better place with our Lord and one day we shall all see him again.
A memorial service is to be held Friday, August 23rd at 5 pm at 106 Skiner Ln in Warren Pa with Pastor Loretta Knapp officiating.
