Norma J. Yaegle States, 80, of Warren, PA, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. Norma was born September 25, 1943, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Everett S. Yaegle and Ida Thomas Yaegle Wenzel. She was a graduate of Warren Area High School. She was employed by Warren State Hospital, Jamesway, was a foster parent for Warren County Foster Care, Quality, Warren County Sheriffs Department, Warren Police Department and Warren County School District. Norma resided in Warren most of her life. Norma loved working in her gardens in the summertime as well as her crafts in the wintertime. Family meant everything to her, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Norma is survived by her three children, Chari L. Martin and her husband Ronald, Tami J. Sorensen and husband Donald, and Robb E. States and wife Kani; six grandchildren, Brandi (Jeric) Martin, William (Jeanice) Martin, Nolan Martin, Aaron (Bill) Martin, and Jessica (Ken) Martin, and Alyssa (Joe) Stenstrom; two step grandchildren, David and Darren Sorensen; nine great grandchildren, Keylee, Julia, Abigail, Ava, Gabriella, Aria, Ava, Anthony, and Aiyanna. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. States, who she is reunited with after 40 years; grandson, Travis C. Stenstrom; brother, Gail E. Yaegle; sister, Joyce M. Uhlig; son-in-law, Bryan R. Stenstrom; and stepfather, Luther F. Wenzel. Friends will be received at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren, PA, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Reverend Jeffrey Ewing, officiating. Burial to follow in Westview Cemetery, Starbrick.
