Norma I. Mills, 87, formerly of Lander, died Monday, May 28, 2018, at Warren General Hospital.  Norma was born June 20, 1930, in Lander, PA. She is the daughter of the late John S. and Olga J. (Trask) Mills.

The Valedictorian of her class, Norma graduated from Lander High School in 1948.  She was employed by the New Process Company for seventeen years and worked an additional 25 years at the Warren County Court House.  Norma served two terms as the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts.  She was a former member of the Lander United Methodist Church, where she served as the choir director, a Sunday school teacher, and a youth counselor.  After moving to Warren, she joined the First United Methodist Church.  For many years she sang in and directed the Warren County Fair Choir, and was a member of the Philomel Club, where she also sang in and directed the Philomel Chorus.  She also volunteered preparing and serving breakfasts at the Salvation Army once a week for about ten years.

Norma is survived by one sister, Neva Hagberg, of Warren; her foster-sister, Betsy Fowler, and husband, Dave, of Knox; nieces and nephews Aaron Mills, Ph.D., and wife, Linda Blum, Ph.D., of Charlottesville, VA, Ellen Smith, and husband, Dale, of Mt. Lebanon, Colleen Whitaker, and husband, Ken, of Bel Air, MD, Marcia Ziki, and husband, Douglas Vaughn, of Warren, with whom she resided, Jane Ziki, of Arlington, VA, Bridget Napier, of Charlottesville, VA, and Ann Ziki, and partner, Don Van Huben, of Penfield, NY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent "Perk" Mills, Donald Mills, and Leo "Ike" Mills; two sisters, Marian Ziki and Ruth J. "Tute" Mills; infant sister, Vivian Mills; and nephew, Mark Ziki.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St, Warren, PA, on Friday, June 8, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Rutenber, visitation pastor, officiating.  Prior to the service, friends and family will be received at the church from 1 p.m.

Private burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Lander, PA, at a later date.
