Obituary

Nancy Lee (Kelly) Kitelinger, of Warren, PA, passed away on Wednesday night, December 24, 2014, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

Nancy was born in Warren, PA on September 20, 1947, to Ida Jean Kitelinger and the late Paul Kitelinger.  She graduated from Warren Area High School in 1965.

Nancy married James L. Kitelinger on October 29, 1966.  They moved to Port Hueneme, CA, for three years while he served in the Navy Seabees.

After returning to Warren in 1969, she worked at New Process Company (now Blair), Kozy Korner Kleaners, Cornerstone Lounge, Moose Club, RalphEs Pub, and the Eagles Club, where she recently retired.  Over the years, she met a lot of people whom she considered family and the majority of them consider themselves as her "kids."

Nancy belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary # 135; Warren Women of the Moose, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary # 313.

While raising her family, she enjoyed traveling to various locations, most notably:  Walt Disney World, Virginia Beach, Washington D.C., Mississippi, Maine, winter vacations in Florida with her husband, and North Carolina for the birth of her first grandchild.

Nancy also enjoyed camping when her children were younger with her parents and sister's family; playing bingo; going to the casino with her mom, sisters and daughters; listening to various local bands in town, especially Ron Carrington Jr.; lounging in her swimming pool; traveling to craft shows and shopping centers with her daughters and granddaughters; just spending time with her many friends and family; and so much more.

Nancy was the biggest cheerleader for all of her grandchildren's athletic sports.  Quoting her one grandson as saying, "Grandma, I could hear your voice over everyone else's when I was on the field."

She is well-known throughout the community.  Warren got a little dimmer without her smile and her laughter, and the way she mothered all around her.  Nancy was a one of a kind friend to everyone, and will always hold a special spot in our hearts.  Heaven got a lot brighter and smells a bit sweeter with our "Eternity" girl walking around and watching over us all.

She is survived by her mother, husband and four children:  daughters, Tammy Tutmaher, and husband, Shawn; Kelly Schwanke, and husband, John; Tracey Caldwell, and husband, Mickey; son, Jimmy Kitelinger, also of Warren; grandchildren:  Dylan, C.J. and Hayley Tutmaher, Emily and Garrett Bailey; Wes and Austin Schwanke; sisters, Diane Genberg and husband Tom; Roxie Kelly – all of Warren; and brother, Michael Kelly, and wife, Eileen, of Sheffield, PA; mother-in-law, Jane Kitelinger; one aunt, several nieces, nephews, cousins and "adopted kids."

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul, on May 2, 2013; brother, Stephen Kelly on May 1, 2013, father-in-law, Marshall Kitelinger, and the family dog, Maxie.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Warren Eagles Club, 2101 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA 16365 or Paws Along the River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
