IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Milton G. "Mick"
Litzinger
March 9, 1932 – November 30, 2016
Milton G. "Mick" Litzinger, 84, of Russell, PA, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Warren Manor.
Mick was born March 9, 1932 in Amsbury, PA, Cambria County, the son of the late Owen and Jesse McClelland Litzinger. He attended school in Cambria County, and has been a Russell resident for the past fifty one years. He was a Tool and Die Maker by trade, working for Proto Tool in Jamestown, and other local shops, then worked at the Struthers Wells Company, retiring when it closed. An extremely accomplished machinist, he lived by his motto, "If you can make it, don't buy it," something the family is very familiar to. Mick loved the outdoors immensely, fishing, hunting, running his coon hounds, and especially ice fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Hamilton Litzinger, whom he married in 1955; two daughters, Kathy Gifford, and her husband George, of Akeley, PA, and Cara Litzinger, and her boyfriend, Sean Galloway, Russell, PA; two sons, Joseph Litzinger, Jamestown, NY, and David Litzinger, and his fiance' Julie Weatherbee, of Warren, PA; three grandchildren, Bryce Winters, of Frewsburg, NY, Zack Litzinger, of Kane, PA, and Mikki Gifford, of Akeley, PA; three sisters, Charlotte Clark, Nancy Rickard, and Bessie Michaels, and her husband Richard, all of Clearfield County; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Lee Litzinger; two sisters, Thelma Stevens, and Audrey Mosley; and three brothers, Owen, Russell, and Simon Litzinger.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, 16365, on Sunday December 4, from 3 to 5 p.m., and on Monday, December 5, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at there at 11 a.m., with Rev. Marcus Briggs, officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 311 Beech St., Warren PA, 16365.
