Michael R. DiPenti, 86, of Russell, PA, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital. Michael was born on June 21, 1932, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Michael and Aurel (Gehring) DiPenti. Michael worked for Cleveland Plain Dealer for 25 years and owned Red Oaks. After some time, he developed and began running Deep Wood Vacation Homes and Rentals. Michael was also a volunteer fireman for the Chesterland Ohio Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dian (Campbell) DiPenti, whom he married on May 27, 1977; his children, Michael (Kathy) DiPenti, of Scandia, Susan (John) Barto, of Strongsville, OH, Kathy DiPenti, of N. Royalton, OH, Timothy (Patti) DiPenti, of Scandia and Jeff Kania, of Warren; his 8 grandchildren, Brad, Jerry and Michelle DiPenti, Jim and Scott Pinkerman, Justin and Kyle DiPenti, and Tyler Kania; his 9 great grandchildren, Correy, Jessica, Jim, Jarod, Michael, Micah, Elise, Rowan and Gen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Pinkerman. Friends will be received from 1- 3 pm, on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm, with The Rev. Jeff Ewing, pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
