Mereah L. Byerly, 75, of Russell, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Warren Manor under Warren County Hospice care. Mereah was born September 12, 1948, in Warren, PA. She was a graduate of Warren Area High School and earned an associate degree at Jamestown Business College. She was the first hire in the business office when K-Mart opened in Warren. She was instrumental in her granddaughter Stephanie's skating career and involved with Jamestown Skating Club for many years putting in countless hours working on costuming for shows which she loved. Mereah is survived by her husband, Alan Dale Byerly, whom she married in 1967; daughter, Lynn Hice and husband Charles of Russell, PA; two granddaughters, Stephanie Hice and fiancé Nicholas Allen of Pittsburgh, PA, and Misty Bimber and husband Gregg of Russell, PA; siblings, Kim Hollingsworth and life partner George Lang of Frewsburg, NY, and Tim "Butch" Collins of Frewsburg, NY; and several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mereah is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Harmon; and grandmother, Lulu Shattuck, who raised her. A Celebration of Life will be held for Mereah at a later date.
