Melvin Harold Perryman, 79, of Warren, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Warren General Hospital.  Melvin was born April 2, 1939, in Yorkshire, NY. He was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Enos) Perryman.

A lifelong resident of Warren, and Veteran of the US Navy, Melvin held various positions at National Forge Company, retiring after 37 years in 2002. Following retirement, Melvin had worked for 3 years at West Penn Oil.  He was an active member of the Covenant United Methodist Church.  He was an avid Pirates fan and enjoyed the Steelers.  Melvin will be remembered for his kindness and friendships with his neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Janet May (McGuire) Perryman; four children, Kelly O'Neill, and husband, Perry, Kerry Anne Pearson, and husband, Will, Kevin H. Perryman, and wife, Marcy, all of Warren, and Kylene May Lewis, and husband, Ross, of Moore, SC; three grandchildren, Patrick O'Neill, of New Market, VA, Jami May King, and husband, Tony, of Copley, OH, and Mikki May Lewis, of Moore, SC; one great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by three sisters, Sally, Myrna and Fae; and one brother, Patrick.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held and announced at a later date.
