Obituary

Mary L. Simmons, 68, of Russell, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at her residence. She was born on September 28, 1954, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Wesley L. Knisley Sr. and Helen Leona Chambers. Mary graduated in 1973 from Warren Area High School and serviced in the Army for three years. She worked at Warren General Hospital for many years. Mary will be sadly missed by her family and loved ones. Mary is survived by a son, Michael Brant of Russell; one grandson, Cameron, three granddaughters, Payton, Lexa, and Gannon; one brother, Wesley L. Knisley Jr. and wife Christine of Sugar Grove, four sisters, Suzanne Zawacki and husband David of Warren, Judith Crossley and husband James of Clarendon, Sandra Lewis and husband Daniel of Warren, and Daisy Barrett and husband Dennis of Clarendon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death on July 22, 2020, by her husband, Kevin Simmons, whom she married on July 2, 1988. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, PA, on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held, with Pastor Jim Crossley, officiating.
