Mary Anne Masterson passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on September 14, 2015 in Pittsburgh. She was 88. Mary Anne, daughter of Frank and Nora Mills Masterson, was born in Warren on July 28, 1927. She graduated from Warren High School and received a BS in Biology from Villa Maria College. She worked as a Medical Technologist at the Medical Mission Sister's Hospital in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Mary Anne returned to Warren and was a valued employee at the Blair Corporation until her retirement after 38 years. She loved to travel, especially to Ireland and South America. She was fluent in Spanish. Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: James, Thomas, and Francis. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Gnagey Masterson (Thomas) and numerous nieces and nephews. They will remember her as a kind and caring woman who always had cookies in the cookie tin. A devout Catholic, she was a long time member of the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 11 Russell St. Warren Pa. 16365, with Fr. Jim Gutting, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations made to the Holy Redeemer RC Church Building Fund.
