Mary Lou Hotaling, 65, of Miller Hill Road, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015.  Mary was born August 31, 1950, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Garnetta J. (Hamm) Slack.

Mary was a 1968 graduate of Warren High School.  Her family remembers her as a mom to everyone and a grandma to many.  She loved her animals: seven birds, three dogs, and a cat.  She was a member of the Marine Corps. League, and was active in bingo at the Sugar Grove AmVets Post 50, the Lander Fire Department and the Eagles Club.  She had volunteered with many organizations. She was an avid NASCAR fan, and also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.

She is survived by her son, John A. Schumann, and wife, Robett; step-daughter, Lori Mead, and husband, Ray VanOrd; two step-sons, RJ Hotaling, and wife, Tab, and Chadd Hotaling; four sisters, Carol Wallace, Debbie Yampaglia, Kathy Henderson, and Barb Taylor; four brothers, Wilbur Slack, Steve Slack John Bobelak, and Robert Bobelak; three granddaughters, Devyn Scalise, Amanda Schumann and Tanya Hotaling; two grandsons, Josh Benjamin, and William Schumann; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ann Slack; her first husband, William C. Schumann; her second husband, Rhody B. Hotaling; one sister, Patty Coral and one brother, Danny Slack.

A celebration of life will be held today, Monday, September 7 from 1 p.m. - ?, at Mary's home, 3609 Miller Hill Road, Warren, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Paws Along The River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
