Mary Lou Reist Chapel, 95, of Warren PA died Saturday morning June 6, 2026 at the Suites at Rouse Youngsville, PA

She was born Feb 21, 1931 in Warren PA to the late Charles and Mina Stoddard Reist.

Mary was a life long Warren county resident. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm welcoming home. She was known for her love of gardening and sewing; her passion for astronomy; her cakes, pies, cinnamon rolls, strawberry jam and home made canned peaches. She also loved having fun with her children and grand children. We all remember playing golf around the back yard and flying kites on windy spring days.

She is survived by her two children Jane Swanson (Randy Ryder) of Jamestown NY and Jeffrey Chapel (Laura) of Youngsville PA.; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles L Chapel who died on Feb 23 1990 whom she married Nov 6, 1951; an infant son Clifford Alan Chapel; three brothers Robert, Richard and Albert Reist; and two sisters Barbara Cook and Rose Reist.

A private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
