Mary Alice Sikstrom Bauer, 83, of Russell, died Friday, June 10, 2016, at Warren General Hospital.  Mrs. Bauer was born October 11, 1932, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the late Martin E. and Clara S. (Ackert) Sikstrom.

Mary was a 1950 graduate of Warren High School.  She had worked in the business office of the Bell Telephone Company for many years.  After the death of her husband, she returned to work and ultimately retired from the Blair Corporation.

She is survived by three sons, Steven Bauer, and wife, Terri, of Lantana, TX, Scott Bauer, and wife, Robin, of Russell and Brian Bauer, of Cheyenne, WY; two grandchildren, David and Gregory Bauer; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death on November 3, 1986, by her husband, Alvin J. Bauer, whom she married in Warren on March 24, 1956; and in 2004, by her two sisters, Barbara Sikstrom Helfrich and Jeanne Sikstrom Erickson.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, no services will be observed.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
