Martin Thomas Hagstrom, 74, of Warren, PA passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2021, at his home. Known as Marty, he was born November 17, 1946, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Carl and Evelyn Jensen Hagstrom. He was a 1964 graduate of the Warren Area High School. Marty was Drafted into the US Army in 1965 where he served as a communications specialist. Upon his discharge, he enrolled in the Jamestown Community College, where he studied Mechanical Engineering, and upon graduation he was hired at Pittsburgh DeMoines Steel where he and others designed the famous St. Louis Archway. Marty grew up a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Warren. He loved to work on genealogy, spending time at the Warren Public Library and the Fenton Library in Jamestown, NY. He helped many others who came to the library researching family history. Marty is survived by his brother Bill Hagstron and his wife Georgia, and nephew David of Martinsburg, PA, and a nephew Pat and wife Jennifer of Loysburg, PA. A graveside service at the Oakland Cemetery with Military Honors is being planned and will be announced when available.
