Martin Lewis Check of Virginia Beach, VA died July 19, 2013 at the home of his brother in Watson Twp., Warren, PA. Marty was born August 3, 1946 to the late J. Richard Check and Louise Urbanski Check. He was a graduate of Warren Area High School in 1964, Paul Smith College in 1966 and North Carolina State University in 1968.

Marty served his country as a navy pilot for 22 years, retiring with the rank of Commander in 1991. He was employed by Givens Trucking, Chesapeake, Virginia until shortly before his death.

Marty is survived by his wife, Susan Tusko Check and two daughters, Jennifer Reyes and (Duane Gauther) and Christa Seibel (Christopher). He was the adored PaPa to Noah and Joshua Reyes and Alyssa and Ethan Seibel.

Marty is also survived by his sister Rachel Check of Pittsburgh, PA and his brother and sister in law Richard and Cindy Check of Watson Twp., Warren, PA, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and Tusko family members.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
