Martha L. "Martie" Frederick, 70, of Sayre, and formerly of Warren and Russell, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.  Martie was born May 29, 1944, in Warren, PA. She is the daughter of the late Louis F. and Dorris Gordon Mathis.

Martie was a 1962 graduate of Warren High School.  While living in the Warren area, she and her husband attended the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed camping and traveling in her motor home.  She was also an avid reader and animal lover.

She is survived by her husband, David G. Frederick, whom she married on January 15, 1966, at Grace United Methodist Church in Warren; one daughter, Kathy L. Larson, and husband, Robert, Sayre, PA, and one son, Richard D. Frederick, and wife, Tracie, Brunswick, MD;  one brother, Gordon Mathis, Warren, PA. She also has two grandchildren, Winston Larson and Vivian Frederick; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Monday, October 27, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Dr. Rev. G. A. Hankins, pastor, First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
