Marjorie T. Cathcart, 93, of Russell, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Rouse Home.

She was born on October 22, 1932, to the late James and Blanch McCullough in Armstrong County, PA.

She married her late husband, Preston Cathcart, on September 28, 1951.

Marjorie graduated from Porter Township High School in 1950. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the Warren County School District. She was an active member of Cable Hollow Community Church, where she also was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and crocheting. She enjoyed her family, she loved to babysit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her sister, Bonie Hudson; children, Paul (Martha) Cathcart, Jean VanCise, Donna L. Cathcart, and David (Renee) Cathcart; her grandchildren, Shelly (Jeff) Lewis, Pastor Preston “P.J.” (Michelle) Cathcart, Zachary Cathcart, Erika (Chris) Cole, Danette (Shaun) Courtney, Lance VanCise, Heather Cathcart-Norris, Dustin (Ally) Cathcart, Tyler (Katanya) Cathcart; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Lily, Harrison, Jocelyn (Jared), Alexis (Brian), Trenton, Evalynn, Bentley, Quinlan, Lennox, Kinsley, Briar, Maren, and Milly; and great-great-grandchildren, Vada and Elias.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Dana L. Cathcart, infant brother, Homer McCullough, another infant brother, her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ambrose Schliff, her brother-in-law, Bob Husdon, her brother and sister-in-law Guy and Dorothy “Dottie” McCullough.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Visitation for Marjorie will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, May 31, from 3 PM- 5 PM. A funeral service will be held at Cable Hollow Community Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Rd, Russell, PA, 16345, on Monday, June 1, at 11 AM with visitation an hour beforehand. Rev. Jon Swart officiating.

Interment will take place at Hale Cemetery.
