Obituary

Marilyn B. Anderson, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, 82, of Sheffield, PA, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 25, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie. A lifelong resident of Sheffield, she was born on May 22, 1941, to the late Larry and June (Skinner) Faul. She was a 1959 graduate of Sheffield High School and was employed by the Highland Group in Sheffield for 32 years. She also worked part-time at Warren General Hospital and Sheffield Container, from which she retired just last week. She enjoyed gardening and baking and especially loved spending time with her family. Marilyn is survived by her four children: daughter Cindy Bowley and husband Craig of Barnes, PA; daughter Pamela Pedersen of Sheffield, PA; son Curt Anderson and wife Claudia of Bradford, PA; and daughter Linda Caster and husband Jasper of Cuba, NY; eight grandchildren: Emily Heeter and husband Mark of Sheffield, PA; David Slack and companion John Wolf of Erie, PA; Christopher Pedersen of Erie, PA; Nathan Bowley of Barnes, PA; Sarah Jepson and husband Rob of Barnes, PA; Joshua Anderson and wife Bella of Edgewater, MD; Natalee Smith and husband Deryk of Kane, PA; and Justin Anderson and wife Jessica of Darlington, PA. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren: Addisen and Peyton Heeter; Brock, Ellie and Cambree Smith; Jonah, Elijah and Ava Anderson; Penelope and Bear Jepson; and Bodi Anderson; sister-in-law Barbara Faul of Sheffield, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister June (Faul) Wilson; brother-in-law Ted Wilson; and brother Kelly Faul. She donated her body to the Humanity Gifts Registry for study and research. At her request, there will be no public service. Memorial donations may be made to the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department, 318 S. Main St., Sheffield, PA, or a Charity of your choice.
