Marian Virginia Lindholm (Johnson) Eller, 93, formerly of Russell, PA, passed away on February 19, 2022 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Marian was born May 18, 1928, in Busti, NY, the daughter of the late Ruth Anderson and John Lindholm. Marian resided in Russell for most of her life, moving to Bradford Ecumenical Home in 2016 to be closer to her daughter. She loved her small town of Russell and it was always home for her. She was proud of her Swedish heritage and still often spoke Swedish. She enjoyed cooking for her family especially her traditional Swedish Christmas dinner. She was known for sharing with others her baked goods such as her Cardamon rolls, sweet rolls, rye bread and spritz cookies.
Marian was employed by Bell Telephone in Warren for 25 years before retiring in 1993. She then worked part time for Nesmith Insurance. She was a long-time member of the Russell United Methodist church and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Warren with her husband Lawrence.
She is survived by 5 children, Sandra Baum of Santa Barbara, CA and Papillion, NE, Fred Johnson and his wife Janice of Bradenton, FL. Greg Johnson and his wife Karlene of Seneca, PA. Bruce Johnson and his wife Maria of Russell, PA and Cheryl Spittler of Bradford, PA. 4 step- children Lawrence Eller Jr and his wife Marcia. Barbara Deegan, Dennis Eller and his wife Dixie and Bonnie Dressler and her husband Dennis. Marian is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death in 2013 by her husband Lawrence Eller, whom she married on July 2, 2001. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Mildred Peterson, her grandson Jonathan Johnson, her sons-in-law Eugene Baum and Edwin Spittler Jr.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
