IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maria
Bringas
August 28, 1945 – August 21, 2020
María Gloria Bringas, 74, of Warren, PA, died on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House. María was born on August 28, 1945 in San Fernando, Chile, the daughter of the late Rafael Cáriz and Orlanda Riquelme. María retired after spending forty -five years as a Registered Nurse, working in Chile, Australia, Canada, and Texas. Throughout her career she provided excellent patient care, was highly respected by the physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff with whom she worked, and was both a dedicated mentor and great inspiration to student and graduate nurses. María enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, and baking, loved to travel, and most of all, loved spending time with her family. In 2008 her dream of visiting Paris, France became a reality. María is survived by her husband, Bernardo V. Bringas, of Warren, whom she married on November 19, 1970 in Chile; a daughter, Gloria Bringas and her husband Dan Wagner of Bedford, OH; a son, Claudio Bringas and his wife Maya Bringas, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; two sisters- in -law, Norma Bringas and María Fuentes; and nieces and nephews Cristina, Ana, Catalina (Catita), Gabriela (Gaby), Jacqueline, Marcelo and Pablo of Santiago, Chile; Alejandro, Lorena, Cristian and Pamela of San Fernando, Chile. Distance did not lessen the love and admiration of her many friends and relatives. She cherished her friendship with Rosalynda Gonzalez of Uvalde, TX and Grace Raney of Del Rio, TX, as well as the many wonderful coworkers at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, TX. Her trips to Chile were filled with visits to her wonderful aunt Tinita, cousins Pato, Naya, Beto, Gollo, Tinita and their extended families, and catching up with her many friends – Mónica, Sergio, Olivia, Marita, Úrsula, Juan – as time would allow. She also found great joy in seeing her children's friends grow up to be successful and happy. María was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alejandro Caris, brother-in-law Rolando Bringas, and her beloved aunts Olga and Elba Riquelme. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365
