August 24, 1935 – February 27, 2024
Marguerite Hedman, 88, of Warren, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Warren Manor. Maggie was born August 24, 1935, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Henry Schmid and Mary Buchman Schmid. She was a 1953 graduate of Wesleyville High School and a 1957 graduate of Lock Haven State Teacher's College. She was employed as a physical education teacher for Warren County School District from which she retired. Maggie attended the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Warren, was a member of the American Legion in Little River, S.C., and worked with the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, genealogy, and especially loved her family. Maggie is survived by her four children, Danni Hedman of Warren, PA, Jill Ruszczyk of Orchard Park, NY, Joseph Hedman and wife Janeal of Warren, PA, and James "Rich" Hedman and wife Chris Rahlf of Cedarburg, WI; five grandchildren, Jessica Hedman, James Hedman, Lindsey Ruszczyk, Michael Ruszczyk, and Andrew Hedman; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hedman in January 2012, whom she married on February 7, 1959; brother, William Schmid; and sister, Carol Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10:00am at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren, PA, with the Reverend Rick Tomasone, officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave, Warren, PA, or to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm St., Warren, PA.
