Margaret Ann Granquist, 84, formerly of Russell, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Warren General Hospital.  Margaret was born October 13, 1929, in Russell, PA, the daughter of the late Howard L. and Gladys R. Phillips Ramsdell.

Margaret was a 1947 graduate of Russell High School.  A lifelong resident of Russell, she was a member of the Russell United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir, the Calvary Singers and had also taught Sunday School.  Margaret liked artwork and crafts, and had a talent for painting.  She will be remembered as a gracious and compassionate woman to those in need.  Margaret will be missed by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jones, and husband, Allan, Russell, PA; her twin sister, Marjorie Phillips, Russell, PA; two sisters, Lorna Mack, also of Russell, PA and Joyce Anderson, Holliday, FL; two grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Orlando, FL and Elisabeth Dougherty, and husband, Jeffrey, Warren, PA; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Briauna Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death on March 10, 1998, by her husband, Harold W. Granquist; and her infant brother.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m.  The funeral will be held at the Cable Hollow Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Road, Russell, PA, on Thursday, September 18, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Heckman, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
