Margaret G. Messerly Gage, 91, formerly of 324 Crescent Park, died at Warren Manor, on Monday, October 28, 2002, at 3:15 a.m.
Mrs. Gage was born July 17, 1911, in Warren, the daughter of the late Orman J. and Charlotte Carrig Groves. Mrs. Gage graduated from Alleghany College. She worked in Kane as a teacher for a short time, and later for the Warren County School District as a substitute teacher for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Allen Class. She held offices at the National level of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the American Colonist, and was a member of the Warren College Club, and The League of Women Voters.
She is survived by her son Bruce G. Messerly, Warren; a grandson, Bruce A. Messerly, Warren; two nephews, and two nieces.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Bertram J. Messerly, January 24, 1980, her second husband, Willard L. Gage, March 23, 1991; and a sister, Helen Moore.
Friends may call at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Wednesday October 30, from 7-9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. William J. Starr, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
