Lynn B. Edwards, 61, of Russell, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital of Erie, PA.  Mr. Edwards was born December 25, 1954, in Warren, PA. He is the son of John Bruce Edwards, of Russell, and the late Ada L. (Wright) Edwards.

He was a 1972 graduate of Eisenhower High School.  He had been an equipment operator at K & M in Weldbank, until becoming disabled as a result of a motorcycle accident 30 years ago.   For 3 years, Lynn lived in Florida, where he did boat repair.  Lynn will be remembered as a friend and mentor to many people; if you needed a place to go vent, seek advice, or get away, you went to see Lynn.  He loved participating at Russell VFD, and was in a pistol shooting league in Columbus.

In addition to his father, John Bruce Edwards, and companion, Anita Oaks, Lynn is survived by his sisters, Beth Thomas, of Warren, and Rozella Edwards, of Russell; one brother, Brad Edwards, also of Russell; his aunt and uncle, Martha Ann and Jim Fortson; niece, Brandi Thomas; nephews, Christopher Edwards and Jason Thomas; and his great-nephew, Christopher Edwards, Jr., whom Lynn helped raise.

In addition to his mother, Ada L. Edwards, Lynn was preceded in death by his good friend, Will Weatherby.

Per Lynn's wishes, there will be no services, but a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
