Luke George Schaberl, Jr., 70, of Clarendon, died Thursday, November 3, 2016, at his home.  Luke was born July 9, 1946, in St. Marys, PA. He was the son of the late Luke G. Schaberl, Sr., and Sarah Jane (Miles) Schaberl.

He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and had worked for Heenan Trucking as a mechanic. Luke enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting knives, attending motorcycle rallies, and traveling. He had two beloved dogs named Coffee and Teddy.

He is survived by his daughter, Emalei Schaberl, currently at Edinboro University, and her mother, Terri Davison; and two sons, Dwayne Schaberl, and wife, Renee, of St. Marys, and Luke Schaberl, III, and wife Patricia, of Tulsa, OK; his former wife, Mary Nero Anderson, of St. Marys; four siblings, Beth, John, Mike and Sue; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Loretta "Buffy" Schaberl; and two siblings, Sylvia and Andrew.

Services will be announced at a later date through the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc.

Luke was very proud of his daughter for attending college, memorial contributions can be made to Emalei Schaberl in care of Northwest Savings Bank to help further his dream of her completing her education.
