Luella June Moats, 81, of Warren, of formerly Portville, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 9, 2021, at the Warren General Hospital. Luella was born in Portville, N.Y. to the late Adrian and Patricia Shattuck Gimlin. She was a 1957 graduate of Portville Central High School. She worked at the Blair Corp. for thirty plus years from which she retired. Luella enjoyed scrapbooking, reading and genealogy. She attended the North Warren Presbyterian Church. Luella will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Joseph) Brinkley of Ludlow, Pa., and Candace Shauff of Blacksburg, PA; a son, Donald Moats of Warren, PA, a sister, Viola Gertsch of Warren; seven grandchildren, Zach, Elaine, and Kimberly Brinkley, Erika, Jayson, and Adrian Lewis, Shayne Wickstrom, and Colby Szarowicz; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; Arnel Moats II, niece; Dawn Gimlin; and brother, Roy Gimlin. Friends will be received on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc. from 2 to 4 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held.
