Lora Jean Bunting, 84, of Sheffield, PA, passed away on July 6, 2022, at Warren General Hospital. She was born on July 31, 1937, in Miola, PA, the daughter of the late Jeffrey McClain and Adda Fox McClain. She was a 1955 graduate of Sheffield High School, a homemaker and was involved with the Sheffield Senior Center.

As the wife of a career serviceman, Lora accompanied her husband on assignments to Okinawa, Japan, Fulda, Germany, Fort Richardson, Alaska, and Washington D.C. among others.

Lora was an ardent supporter of organ donation having received a heart transplant in 1993. This permitted her to live to see her children and grandchildren grow to adulthood.

Lora is survived by her husband, Robert Ernest Bunting, whom she married on January 28, 1956; children Robert Bunting II and wife Cindi of Woodbridge, VA, Clay A. Bunting and wife Victoria of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Cynthia Ann Mott of Follansbee, WV; siblings Robert McClain and wife Gretchen of Russell, PA, Mary Ellen Straight and husband David of Warren, PA, and Betty Ann Cook, also of Warren, PA; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lora is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Marie Fullerton; twin brother Larry McClain; sisters Patricia Markey and Dorothy Zimmerman.

Services for Lora will be private and at the convenience of the family.
