Lloyd L. "Butch" Irwin, 81, of Warren, died on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. Butch was born on June 27, 1939, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Lloyd Irwin Sr. and Mae York Irwin. He grew up in the Chandlers Valley - Sugar Grove area and was a 1957 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Butch was a mechanic for many years, having owned his own garage and he also drove truck. Butch enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren, and he genuinely enjoyed passing on his skills and knowledge to his family. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was an avid reader. Butch is survived by his children, Cynthia L. Wagner of Warren, Brenda Harrison and husband Wayne of Warren, Kevin Allen and wife Theresa of MO, Pamela Durnell and husband Martin of Warren, Samoeun Cheng and wife Juanita of NJ, Vy Cheng Prince and husband Kevin of KY, and Samath Cheng of NJ; his siblings, Florence Miller of Houston Tx, Doris Samuelson of Phoenix Az, Barry Irwin of Trenton, GA, and Ron Irwin of Sugar Grove, PA; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death in 1985 by his wife Joyce Marie Johnson Irwin, whom he married in 1958; a son, Kenneth Edward Irwin:and his siblings, Carol Ann Irwin, Eva Mae Irwin and Roger Irwin and David Irwin; and a son-in- law John Wagner. Friends will be received at the Warren Alliance Church on Saturday, July 11 from 10 am until 11 am at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Doug McCracken, pastor, officiating. All CDC guidelines will be followed. Burial will follow in the Hessell Valley Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Warren Public Library, 205 Market St. Warren, PA 16365 or to the Salvation Army, 311 Beech St., Warren, PA, 16365.
