Linda J. Brown Carlson, 78, of Lander, went to her heavenly home peacefully on March 12, 2026, following an extended illness.

Linda was born July 21, 1947, to the late Donald Brown and Elsa Stanton Brown. She was employed at Blair Corporation for many years and was a Warren County Auditor at the courthouse until she retired in 2012. She was an active member of the Lander Community Church. She was also the treasurer for the Warren County Republican Committee for many years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Michele Carlson of Lander and Katrina (Rob) Burgeson of Clarendon; grandchildren, Rebekah Rugg of Clarendon and Kyle Covert of Youngsville; great-grandson, Bentley Rugg. She is also survived by her two sisters, Karen (Ed) Gremmer of Wright City, Missouri, and Vicki (Alvin) DeReamer of Chandlers Valley; two brothers, Thomas Brown of Viola, Delaware, and Timothy (Renee) Brown of Lander; brother-in-law, Gary Zobrist of Tampa, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Vernon Carlson; brother, Paul Brown; sister, Elaine Zobrist; and nephew, Donald Zobrist.

Family and friends will be received at Lander Community Church, 5582 PA-957, Russell, PA on Wednesday March 18, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held there with Pastor Dale McMillen and Pastor Wade Barto, co- officiating.

Burial will be in Hessell Valley Cemetery.
