Lester Stroup Sr passed away peacefully January 28, 2024, at his long- time home on Hatch Run Rd in Warren, PA. Lester was born on February 27, 1948, to Richard Keys and Helen Menard. Lester was a graduate from Warren High School and then went on to proudly serve his country for the U.S.M.C in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam and safely returned home to Pennsylvania and worked at the Warren State Hospital where he met his beloved wife, Cathlene. Lester enjoyed anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, car shows and gardening his crops, but most of all spending time with friends and family. He was known for his sense of humor. He treated strangers like friends and friends like family. Proceed in death by his parents and wife Cathlene. Lester was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great- grandfather and Pop Pops. He will be sadly missed by his 6 children, David Zaffino (wife Janene) Lester Stroup Jr. (wife Crystal) Benjamin Stroup (wife Stacey) Michael Stroup (wife Lisa) Andrew Stroup (wife Sara) 13 Grandchildren Codey Bourgeois, Hope Mulroy, Sierra Stroup, Gavin Miglets, Dakota Miglets, Kyler Stroup, Lathan Stroup, Courtney Dimoff, Madison Stroup, Riley Zaffino, Sagan Stroup, Saffhire Stroup, Persephone Stroup. And 10 Great Grandchildren. and many life-long friends like Duke and Tim. We thank you for your sympathy, but the people we feel sorry for are for those who never met him. He was a hero to so many.
